India hadgreat victory against Bangladesh.

India has just scored a great victory against Bangladesh.

India defeated Bangladesh by 5 wickets and India achieved this success with 6 balls remaining. It was a very closely fought match. India was under pressure all the time. Dhoni and Karthik fought bravely and put the match out of the hands of Bangladesh in the last 10 overs.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni was injured and yet he played a valiant innings of 93 runs (from 106 balls). I have to say that this is the best innings from Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Bangladeshi bowlers did not bowl badly but Mahendra Singh Dhoni was too good for them. Dhoni was the man of the match.
Dinesh Kaarthick played an excellent innings too and supported Dhoni in the best way.

India got off to the shakiest possible start in pursuit of 251 on a good batting surface, losing three wickets for just 63, giving Bangladesh a genuine look-in. Rahul Dravid and Mahendra Singh Dhoni were forced to pull down the shutters and consolidate, and they managed this with some success, reaching 120 for 4 from 23 overs.

So, congratulations to India. Indian players should now feel great after this victory. However, they should not forget that they could have lost the match too and Bangladesh is no longer the underdog.

Matches:
1.World Tag Team Champions The Hardys def. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch
courtesy- http://www.wwe.com/shows/backlash/photos/
The Hardys defeated Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch to open Backlash in a true contest of tag team specialists for the World Tag Team Championship. The high-flyers retained their titles, but they had their hands full in the process.

Cade & Murdoch gave Jeff & Matt all they could handle, withstanding an incredible high-risk offense from the World Tag Team Champions and controlling much of the match by hitting them with powerful blows to keep them grounded.

It took bending the rules on The Hardys’ part in order for them to retain the gold. When the referee was distracted by Matt and Cade outside of the ring, Jeff hit Murdoch with the Swanton Bomb despite not being tagged in. Matt climbed back into the squared circle for the cover, allowing The Hardys to escape with the victory.

"They're both tough and we knew we had our hands full tonight," Matt said. "We're happy with the results. The reign of Matt and Jeff continues to live on."

2.Women's Champion Melina def. Mickie James
courtesy- http://www.wwe.com/shows/backlash/photos/
When discussing the greatest rivalries, match ups like the Red Sox vs. Yankees and Coke vs. Pepsi inevitably come to mind. Now, the names of two of the Sexiest Women on Television can be added to the list: Melina and Mickie James.

Women’s Champion Melina has aggressively punished anyone who has attempted to take her coveted title, but that hasn’t deterred Mickie, who lost the Championship to Melina on Raw back in February. At Backlash, Mickie put up one heck of a fight, but couldn’t overcome Melina's relentless assault.

Throughout the match, Melina’s use of controversial techniques involving the ropes, pulling her challenger’s hair and even feigning an injury proved too much for fan-favorite Mickie. At one point in the highly athletic match, Mickie went to the top rope for a high-flying attack that thrilled the fans, but failed to stop Melina’s momentum. Moments later, a reverse DDT from Melina allowed the Women’s Champion to secure a pin and retain her title.

When WWE.com caught up with Melina after her match, she kept her statements short and to the point: “Like I’ve said before, to get this title you have to want it more than I do. Nobody wants it more than I do, so go ahead and try to take it away from me – you will fail.”

3.United States Champion Chris Benoit def. MVP
courtesy- http://www.wwe.com/shows/backlash/photos/
Despite another excellent performance from the young and cocky Montel Vontavious Porter, United States Champion Chris Benoit was able to pull out a hard-earned victory to retain his title in front of his home crowd.
“It was a great feeling in my hometown. I got chills. The ovation our fans gave me was inspiring and heartfelt,” said Benoit. “I really want to thank our fans in Atlanta and all around the world for supporting me as United States Champion.”

MVP tried to take advantage by concentrating on Benoit’s surgically repaired neck, but the Rabid Wolverine had an answer for the offense in the end – even a submission maneuver applied by the ballin’ Superstar. Benoit pointed out, “MVP is improving on my game. It’s turned into a real chess match with him.”

Benoit said that “my confidence and experience brought me this victory.” It showed, as he was able to overcome the odds against the hungry MVP and get the victory via a small package – much to the delight of our fans at the sold-out Philips Arena in Atlanta.

While the rivalry between Porter and Benoit might be far from over, the Rabid Wolverine said he is ready for whatever comes his way.

“All comers, anyone who thinks he is man enough to beat me on the mat should step up to the plate.”

4.Mr. McMahon (pinfall), Shane McMahon & Umaga def. ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley (Handicap Match; new ECW World Champion)
courtesy- http://www.wwe.com/shows/backlash/photos/
ECW World Champion Bobby Lashley thought he had the last laugh on Mr. McMahon when he defeated Umaga at WrestleMania 23 and was primarily responsible for the Chairman being shaved bald following the Battle of the Billionaires challenge. But tonight at Backlash, the maniacal boss laughed last and loudest when he – with the help of his son Shane McMahon and Umaga – took the ECW Championship away from Lashley in a 3-on-1 Handicap Match.

Lashley faced overwhelming odds – or as Mr. McMahon says, “no chance in hell” – in trying to retain his ECW Championship. Not only was he facing three men hell-bent on vengeance – the McMahons, who were trying to avenge their family name, and the Samoan Bulldozer, whose manager, Armando Estrada, was destroyed by Lashley and who lost his Intercontinental Championship to the unknown Santino Marella because of the Colorado powerhouse. But under the stipulations of the match, he could lose the championship if either of his opponents pinned him.

But while the evil trio shared a hatred for Lashley, there was a hint that there would be disagreement among the three on who would pin Lashley. Before the match, it appeared that Mr. McMahon and Shane wanted each other to have the championship, even though their eyes and smirks said otherwise.

But before the sold-out crowd at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, it became apparent that Mr. McMahon wanted to be the ECW World Champion. Shane McMahon and Umaga did all the work, systematically picking apart Lashley while the do rag-wearing Chairman barked encouragement from the corner. McMahon only tagged himself in when Lashley was most vulnerable or when it appeared that Shane would be pinned at one point.
Lashley nearly pulled out a miraculous victory. He showed the grit and heart that enabled him to stand up to Mr. McMahon for months and overcome so many opponents during his four-month championship reign.

But in the end, the former army sergeant learned a lesson that so many other foes of the Chairman have realized: Don’t cross the boss. The numbers game was too much for him. Our fans, Shane and even Umaga watched in shock after the Chairman tagged himself in and pinned Lashley after the champion endured a Samoan Spike, a shot to the head by Shane with the ECW World Championship, and two top rope splashes from the Samoan Bulldozer.

New ECW World Champion Mr. McMahon crowed with delight as he celebrated with Shane and Umaga and then ran across the ECW Originals, Rob Van Dam, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, and Sandman.

“How proud must you be of your new ECW World Champion?” the Chairman mocked the shocked quartet. “Because let me tell you something: no one is more extreme than Vincent Kennedy McMahon!”

With Mr. McMahon the new king of ECW, what does this mean to the Land of the Extreme? No one – especially ECW Originals – ever dreamed that Mr. McMahon would ever be the ECW World Champion. And everyone knows that the Chairman despises what the Originals – and the original incarnation of ECW – stand for and that he loves the New Breed.

These are dark days in ECW. Only the days and weeks to come will reveal what a McMahon championship reign will mean to the Land of the Extreme. But one thing is for sure – hell has indeed frozen over.

6.World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker vs. Batista (Draw; Last Man Standing Match)
courtesy- http://www.wwe.com/shows/backlash/photos/

courtesy- http://www.wwe.com/shows/backlash/photos/
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker and Batista both walked into Philips Arena with plans of victory in the Last Man Standing Match, where the key to victory is to incapacitate your opponent to the point where they cannot answer a 10-count from the referee. However, both men were left battered and beaten, unable to answer referee Mickie Henson’s 10-count – resulting in a draw. (In the case of a draw, the championship leaves the same way it arrived, with the champion.)

In an incredibly brutal Last Man Standing Match, both The Phenom and The Animal pushed each other to the edge, and in the end, after numerous nail-biting nine-counts, neither was able to answer the count. A powerful spear from Batista sent both men flying off the Backlash stage and crashing to the ground below them causing the draw – and keeping the title with Undertaker.

The Deadman and The Animal have had a heated rivalry over the richest prize in the business, with each man pushing the other to the limit. After their WrestleMania 23 encounter, when Undertaker defeated Batista for the World Heavyweight Championship, Batista has been intense in his quest to regain the title. On this night, however, that intensity led to the draw and a missed opportunity for The Animal at regaining gold.

7.WWE Champion John Cena def. Edge, Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels (Fatal Four Way Match)

courtesy- http://www.wwe.com/shows/backlash/photos/

Backlash’s main event was a wild, chaotic brawl that featured four of the best Superstars in WWE; but in the end, John Cena once again overcame the odds, surviving the Fatal Four Way Match by pinning Randy Orton to retain the WWE Championship.

The rules of a Fatal Four Way Match state that the first man to score a pinfall or submission is the winner, so Cena didn’t even have to be involved in the decision to lose the gold. Still, for the second year in a row, The Champ survived multiple opponents in Backlash’s main event to walk out as WWE Champion.

Alliances were made and broken several times during the bout, as Rated-RKO and Cena & HBK reunited at times to try to conquer the other two opponents. Of course, it ended up being every man for himself, as the lure of the WWE Championship was too much to make any alliance more than temporary. All four men had their individual time to shine during the match, but in a wild finish, it was actually an odd assist from HBK that helped Cena retain the gold.
In the waning moments, Cena had Orton set up for the FU, but The Legend Killer wriggled free. He then tried an RKO, but The Champ pushed him off, directly into the path of Edge’s spear. Cena then nailed Edge with the FU, but as he turned around, Michaels nailed The Champ with Sweet Chin Music. Cena fell backwards, but fortunately for him, he landed square on Orton’s still prone body. Michaels was unable to break up the pinfall in time, and Cena got the three-count to claim victory.
After the bout, HBK was livid, evidently feeling that the match was his and Cena once again stole the title back from his grasp. And while it was Michaels’ signature maneuver that led directly to the pinfall, it was more a case of unfortunate circumstances than an intentional action that ultimately sealed his demise.
Meanwhile, Cena was unapologetic after the match, reminding WWE.com that anything can and will happen in a WWE ring.
“These Fatal Four Ways are just that…it’s a car wreck. The rules clearly state that first pinfall or submission wins, and you have to be ready for that,” Cena confirmed. “You have to have eyes in the back of your head; you can’t just go out there and throw home runs and expect everything to hit.”
Cena added that even victory isn’t enough to change his stance on Fatal Four Way rules.
“Guys have snuck victories out of these things, and I hate these matches,” Cena admitted. “There’s people coming from every angle, you don’t have a friend in the world, and anyone can score a quick three-count at any time. I won the match knocked out; you have to know what you’re getting into. That’s the nature of the beast, and HBK knows better than that.”
Regardless of whether anyone likes it or not, one common phrase still rings true after Backlash: The Champ is still here.

West Life

Relaxed, refreshed and bursting with energy, Westlife, the quiet superstars of the mainstream UK music scene, bounce back with their new album ‘Face To Face.’ It’s a world that they have dominated for seven years and the album features all the hallmarks of that reign - a collection of classic songs and future standards. In brief, ‘Face To Face’ finds Westlife doing what they’ve always done best.

After a brief interlude with their Rat Pack album of classic song sung in the style of Sinatra, ‘Face To Face’ is Westlife’s first collection of new songs since ‘Turnaround’ topped the charts in 2003. “I think this album shows that Westlife are back in a big way. It’s got the best material we’ve ever released,” says Shane confidently. Agrees Nicky: “At the time Turnaround seemed like one of our best albums - and this one feels even better.”
A familiar blend of big ballads and mid-tempo tunes, balanced by the occasional up-tempo song, ‘Face To Face’ presents Westlife playing to their strengths – passionate vocals and memorable tunes. It’s a straightforward formula that’s been winning hearts and ears since the dawn of popular music, from the doo-wop days of the Platters, through the timeless harmonies of the Drifters and Coasters, to the slick modern sounds of Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC, Take That and Boyzone. But no one’s done it with so much success as Westlife – 34 million album sales are testament to that!

Following four months’ holidays – the longest break of their entire career – the boys have returned to action sounding stronger, fresher and hungrier than ever. “I think the break did us good,” says Nicky, who spent much of his summer getting in shape in the gym. “We still look at ourselves as the luckiest band in the world, but when you do something so long and so frequently, you’re bound to need time to recharge your batteries.”
That freshness can be heard all over ‘Face To Face.’ The band have never sounded in better voice and they’ve rarely had a better choice of material on which to show it. “We know we have to raise the bar each time we make an album and be bigger and better,” acknowledges Shane, who recently became a father for the first time. After seven years together, their seventh album finds them at the top of their game, and it’s a big game they play in, with six multi-platinum albums in the UK alone. Add to that the Brit Awards, MTV Award, 12 UK number one’s; Westlife are amazingly one of the biggest brands on the planet.

Songwriting and production duties are equally divided between long-term collaborator Steve Mac and Swedish hit-makers The Location, returning to the Westlife fold after working on their first two albums (and for Britney Spears, Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC among many others), with recording done in Ireland, Sweden and London over the long hot summer.
And the secret behind their rejuvenated sound – not such a secret really – is that they’ve just recharged their batteries with the longest holiday of their career. “We had nearly four months off and it felt like three years,” laughs Nicky. “The break made us realize how much we wanted to start work again. At the end of it I couldn’t wait to get back into the studio.”
A new start and a new chapter… but the Westlife story is far from over.

The Marine meets the big screen

Electric – it’s the one word to describe the day of the world premiere of WWE Films’ The Marine. WWE Champion John Cena, RAW Superstars and Divas, movie director John Bonito, actress Kelly Carlson and WWE.com were all on hand for the exciting premiere day at United States Marine Corps base Camp Pendleton in sunny Southern California on Tuesday. It was a historic day the WWE Champion will never forget. WWE.com spoke exclusively with Cena upon his arrival at Camp Pendleton. The WWE Champion was thrilled to be at the base for the big day. “We are here at Camp Pendleton to premiere The Marine. This is a very important day for WWE Films and for me. It’s fantastic that we have the USMC on board. I’m looking forward to seeing the movie today. It’s my first time seeing it on the big screen,” Cena said.
The WWE Superstars and Divas made their first stop on the base – a busy chow hall where Marines who were eating lunch were able to meet and greet Cena, Triple H, Ric Flair, Carlito,
JonathanCoachman, Maria, Candice, Bonito and Carlson. They took a few moments to stop to sign autographs and take photos with the WWE fans. “We went and said hello and had a little meet and greet with some of the soldiers here at the base, sharing the happiness and love,” Carlito said. “They were very happy to see us. Of course they were very excited to see Carlito, as always. It’s a good day. I think we brought a smile to everyone’s face. That’s what we’re here to do.” After the chow hall, the Superstars and Divas headed to the Seventh Engineer Support Battalion, the site of a Marines obstacle course. More than 500 Marines were there to greet Cena and the others. The scene was electrifying – the crowd gathered was extremely excited to meet the WWE stars. A large group of Marines gathered around Flair and joined in on a loud “Wooo!” with the Nature Boy, while the male Marines enjoyed taking photos with Candice and Maria. “Ric Flair has to be my favorite WWE Superstar,” said female Marine Sgt. Baker. “And I got to meet him today!” “We love coming to the military bases, especially today, having the premiere of The Marine later today,” Coachman said. Some of the Marines showed their athletic abilities on the difficult obstacle course. Triple H yelled out to the crowd, “Who wants to see Coach do the obstacle course?” Coachman shot back, “I didn’t bring a towel. I didn’t bring soap,” so a Marine nearby yelled out, “There’s a fire hydrant over there!” The last Marine to complete the obstacle course had a tough time climbing up the final rope, but his efforts didn’t go unnoticed, as Maria planted a kiss on his cheek once he finished the course. “It’s exhilarating to meet the WWE Superstars,” said Staff Sgt. Santiago. “My favorites are Triple H and Carlito. I like what he does with the apple!”
The Superstars also visited the Wounded Warrior Center, where wounded soldiers – most of whom fought in Iraq – are staying for rehabilitation. They toured a few rooms, the computer lab and the lounge. They met a few wounded Marines and stopped to take photographs in front of an Iwo Jima memorial on the wall. It was an emotional moment for both the soldiers and the WWE Superstars. “My day has been absolutely wonderful so far. We had a chance to meet some injured Marines. We had a chance to meet some Marines who have recently returned home,” Cena told WWE.com. “This is what an event should be like. It shouldn’t be the quote-unquote place to be. Now this is the place to be. It’s a pleasure to be spending the day with these men and women.” After touring the base and meeting soldiers, the WWE Superstars prepared for the big red carpet event that evening. Around 5 p.m., their limos started rolling up to the Camp Pendleton movie theater, where a giant, energized crowd more than 1,000 had gathered earlier that afternoon to watch the red carpet festivities, hosted by RAW’s Todd Grisham. “Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the world premiere of The Marine at Camp Pendleton!” Grisham said. “Are you ready for the WWE Superstars? Let’s get this party started guys – keep that energy up!” Ric Flair and Maria arrived first. While the beautiful Diva blew kisses to her adoring fans, The Nature Boy addressed the crowd. “Tonight, John Cena, the WWE Champion, has a great movie coming out called The Marine,” Flair said. “We’re thankful for all of you here. We’re honored. You guys are the greatest.” Carlito, Candice, Coach and Bonito arrived next, and one apple-carrying cool guy shared his thoughts with the crowd. “This place is definitely cool. The Marine is going to be cool. Carlito not being in The Marine – that’s not cool. Not even a cameo?! Come on!” he said. Camp Pendleton’s base commander, Col. Seaton, walked the red carpet, too, and received many cheers

. When Triple H arrived, carrying a life-size cutout of DX partner, Shawn Michaels, the crowd erupted in excitement with loud chants of “Triple H” and “DX.” “Tonight is John Cena’s night. We’re here to celebrate him and we’re here to celebrate The Marine. And if you’re not down with that, I got two words for you…” Triple H said to the crowd, who screamed back, “SUCK IT!” While WWE.com was talking to the lovely Candice, who was raving about the welcome reception she felt by the Marines, Cena and Carlson arrived and the crowd went wild. Mid-interview, the excited Diva couldn’t help but yell out, “All this noise is for John Cena. It’s great,” as she sneaked a peek down the red carpet to see Cena’s arrival. “I am happy to be here with each and every one of you,” Cena, dressed in Marine fatigues, said to the WWE fans. “The Champ is right here, and well, I’m ready to get this thing started. Let’s go to the movies!” After the Superstars and Divas spoke to other media outlets, the anxious crowd began filling the theater. Once everyone was seated with popcorn in hand, the Superstars were introduced to the crowd, and Triple H gave a DX salute, which was met by many cheers. Cena and Carlson also thanked the Marines, and the movie reels began spinning in a historic moment for WWE, WWE Films and Cena. The crowd was pumped for The Marine. They laughed at the comedy, they oohed and ahhed over the plentiful explosion scenes, and they cheered for John Triton, Cena’s character in the movie. As the Marines and the Superstars filed out of the theater, no one could contain their excitement for the action-packed flick. They were still smiling and cheering on the way out. “Tonight has been wonderful,” Cena said. “It really is heartwarming that the first time I saw The Marine on the big screen was with the United States Marine Corps.” “WWE are the action stars of today. There’s no reason we can’t be the action stars of Hollywood,” Triple H said. He also took a moment to congratulate Cena on his big screen premiere. “Great movie!” he told the WWE Champion. Carlito agreed. “I thought the movie was great,” Carlito said. “It was action-packed. It was fast-paced. I saw a side of John Cena I never had seen. Carlito was blown away.

The movie’s director, John Bonito, was pleased to see the crowd react so favorably towards The Marine. “We just got out of a packed theater at Camp Pendleton, and we saw it with the Marines for the first time on the big screen and it was crazy!” Bonito said. “They laughed everywhere they were supposed to, and they were loud when they were supposed to be. I think it really went well. I mean, you sweat things like this. And then you come here and you represent the Marines, and you’re on a Marine base, so you want everything to hit on all cylinders and it did. They loved it.” Cena’s co-star, Kelly Carlson, was very impressed with the WWE fans and admitted it was the best red carpet movie premiere she’s ever attended. “My experience with the WWE fans was incredible. I’ve never seen fans like that before. They’re super-loyal. They’re super-enthusiastic. They’re really fun and intense and screaming during the movie. It was really cool to be a part of it,” Carlson said. “This is the best movie premiere I’ve ever been to. The enthusiasm of the Marines and the crowd – We have really good premieres with Nip/Tuck, but these guys are passionate about being Marines. They’re really proud.” The Marines’ reaction was just as positive as the movie’s stars and the WWE Superstars. About 50 Marines lined up to tell WWE’s cameras what a great time they had. “I thought the explosions were really, really good. There were a whole lot of them. The more explosions in the movie, the better! And The Marine had plenty,” said Lance Corporal Hines. “It was great WWE had the premiere here. It gave me a little bit of confidence knowing WWE thinks we’re heroes. It’s great. I really appreciate them doing this for us.” “I don’t think there could have been a better person than John Cena to play The Marine. He has a typical, All-American, patriotic, hardcore look. I thought it was great,” said Sgt. Banks. “It was explosive, in one word,” said Lance Corporal Garcia. “John Cena did a really good job. Kelly Carlson really looked good. John Cena is the man! It was good of WWE to come and do all this for us. It means a lot to us.” Cena also told WWE.com he wanted to make it clear that although now he’s on the big screen, he’s still first and foremost the WWE Champion in the ring.
“There are some inklings of the WWE genre in our movie and that’s to let the WWE fans know I’m not going to forget about them,” Cena said. “There’s a lot of talk about transition from sports entertainment to movies. I want to let the WWE fans know that as much as I loved this experience with The Marine, I will never leave that 20-by-20 box that I love so much. I want the WWE fans to know that if you see a chokeslam here or maybe a Triple H sledgehammer there, it’s just to let them know that remembers the fans.” Since so many WWE fans and Marines came for the world premiere of The Marine, WWE held a second screening later that evening for a crowd of almost 500 more WWE fans. Cena was overjoyed with the reaction his movie received and offered one final message for the WWE fans reading on WWE.com: “Go see this movie! Go see it 100 times! Then go buy it on DVD and watch it. Put it on your shelf for three months and then watch it again. It will change your life!

Check out his Biography

Let’s be honest: hailing from the rolling hills and broad valleys that constitute West Newbury, Massachusetts, will likely never earThen again, it didn’t happen overnight for him, either. Long before he became the Dr. of Thuganomics, young Cena had to endure the neighborhood rocker kids’ taunts about his baggy pants and rayon Kwamé shirts. His love for freestyling lyrics about rebellion and individualism just didn’t fit within the small rural community. By the time he turned 15, however, those same kids would stop teasing him, for it became apparent that Cena had been developing another passion: hitting the gym.
After applying to more than 60 colleges (and being accepted by 58), Cena attended Massachusetts’ Springfield College, where he excelled as a Division III All-American offensive lineman and team captain for the Pride. But as much as he fondly remembers his college football accomplishments, he’s equally as proud of earning his degree in Exercise Physiology, which he attributes to making him a smarter, more durable performer in the ring today.
Though a huge WWE fan since childhood, rooting for heroes like Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, and Shawn Michaels, Cena had honestly never even considered a career in sports-entertainment. Instead, he flew out to California in 2000, to pursue a profession in bodybuilding (a move he now admits to making simply because his father had told him he wouldn’t make it out there). But while working behind the counter of Gold’s Gym in Venice, a discussion with a wrestler-in-training encouraged Cena to enroll in classes at Ultimate Pro Wrestling. He was instantly hooked, and became motivated to learn everything he could about his newfound craft. He obviously proved a quick study; within a year, World Wrestling Entertainment signed Cena to a developmental contract to train at Ohio Valley Wrestling. By June 2002, he had joined the SmackDown roster, and less than a year later headlined the first of what has since become countless main-event matches.
That said, Cena has never forgotten his roots. In fact, remembering where he came from has helped him evolve into the man he is today: a well-versed hip-hop artist, a successful movie star, and a blue-collared Chain Gang Soldier who’s always ready to fight. In his jean shorts and Reebok Pumps, he leads his WWE fan-based army into battle with the mission statement he’s been down with since Day One: hustle, loyalty, and respect.
n you “street cred”--unless, of course, you’re John Cena.
